- About Accutron: Introduced in 1960 by Bulova, the Accutron movement was the world's first tuning fork electronic movement. Boasting unheard of accuracy, Accutron watches adorned the wrists of state officials and astronauts. NASA used Accutron powered movements in all their spacecraft for their supreme accuracy. Good, overall condition for its age. Running and Keeping Time. There is plating wear through and scratches on the case. There are scratches on the crystal. The dial and hands are in good condition. There is light discoloration on the dial. The band is not original. Accutron 218 showing minor signs of wear and some plating loss on the side and caseback
