Additional Information: 1964 Bulova Accutron Spaceview, M4 date code. Features the iconic 214 tuning-fork movement visible through the open Spaceview dial and a 10k gold-filled bezel for a premium mid-century aesthetic. Early collectible example of Bulova’s groundbreaking electronic technology.
About the brand: Introduced in 1960 by Bulova, the Accutron movement was the world's first tuning fork electronic movement. Boasting unheard of accuracy, Accutron watches adorned the wrists of state officials and astronauts. NASA used Accutron powered movements in all their spacecraft for their supreme accuracy. In 2008, the Citizen Group acquired Bulova and Accutron, and while they continue to produce watches under names such as the “Astronaut” and “Spaceview”, the bread and butter of this brand lies in their treasure trove of vintage models.
