Bulova has produced 100s of models some of them looked pretty generic, then you run into the date pointer here. This is a 1959 Bulova Calendar 23 Jewel Automatic powered by a model BPAD. This has a day window and a beautiful date pointer function. This has both an alternating coin and a smooth bezel front. This has a 10k gold-filled case that looks great on the front but does show a significant amount of wear on the back. The dial has Arabic and arrow indices, and the date pointer part of the dial is Arabic with alternating dots to mark the even date numbers. The dial has some blemishes but is in fair condition for its age.
