• About Benrus: Founded in 1921 in New York City - Benrus made its mark as a producer of fine watches. Importing Swiss movements and casing them in the City, Benrus found its way into specialized production very quickly, as by 1929 they produced the official watch for United Airlines. In the 1960’s - the brand really took off, and produced watches for troops in Vietnam, as well as many iconic dive and sport models such as the Ultra Deep and Type II. Very Good, overall condition for its age. Running, but we dont know the last time it was serviced. This means, it can run unreliably, start or stop and timekeeping is not guaranteed. There are scratches on the case. There are scratches on the band. Gold plated Benrus in excellent condition likely never worn. Shows light swirls from storage and age. Comes in original box and bracelet. Amplitude is good around 240 and watch is gaining about 3 minutes a day.
